Inside Mount (IB) Installation

To find width: Measure the opening across the top where the headrail is to be installed. Measure from inside of jamb on left to inside of jamb on right. Round the measurement down to the nearest 1/8". Do not make any allowances - standard deductions will be applied to ensure the headrail will fit the opening properly.

To find length: Measure from the inside top of the opening at the center down to the sill. Round measurement down to the nearest 1/8".

Outside Mount (OB) Installation

To find width: Measure the width of the area to be covered at the place where the headrail will be installed to the nearest 1/8". Blind should overlap opening at least 1" on each side to ensure privacy (provided there is enough room) or if mounting on trim, measure even with trim.

To find length: Measure the length of the area to be covered and round up to the nearest 1/8". The blind should extend at least 2" above and 1/4" below opening or window molding. Specifying OB measurement means the factory will not make deduction allowances.

Outside Mount (OB) French Doors

To find width: Measure the width of the area to be covered at the place where the headrail will be installed to the nearest 1/8". Blind should overlap opening (glass) at least 1.5".

To find length: Measure glass from top to bottom adding 4" to the length to allow for the head rail to be mounted above the glass and hang below the glass. If cut-outs are required, please specify the length from the top of the headrail to where the cut-out will begin and end. Specify how far in from the edge of the measured area for length of cut-out and on which side of blind.
